The practices that need this most are the ones nobody else is building for. We’re fixing that.
CodeMatch started with a single observation: the independent practices that feel the coding problem most acutely are the ones with the fewest resources to solve it.
A 500-doctor mega-group has twenty dedicated billers and absorbs coding inaccuracies through pure scale. A 3-doctor independent practice has none of that — and the same payer mix, the same denial rules, the same compliance exposure. The math doesn't work. The problem hits them hardest.
Existing tools — Waystar, Availity, the dozen others — solve a different problem. They check whether the claim form is filled out correctly. They cannot read the chart. So they cannot catch the failure mode that matters most: a chart that supports more than what got coded, or codes that the chart doesn't support.
We built CodeMatch to live in that gap. AI that can read free-text physician documentation the way a senior coder does, applied against a payer-specific model of what gets paid — for the small-to-mid independent practices that can't justify a billing team. Cardiology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, dermatology, primary care — the principle is universal, and we tune the model to each specialty's coding patterns.
We're explicitly not for PE-owned groups or hospital systems. Those segments have other options. We're for the practices that don't.
